Congratulations everyone, we have all successfully made it to the future. Youtuber Colin Furze has uploaded a video of him riding on a homemade hover bike. Thanks to the sponsorship from Ford and a campaign by group Unlearn he was able to spend two weeks on making the hoverbike.

Colin Furze who is a former plumber and has no engineering credentials to his name, giving us unmitigated hope, was able to produce the hoverbike, with materials easily bought from local shops.
The bike looks amazing when it flys, I can't just help but think it is an accident waiting to happen and I'm not talking about Colin's flying ability but the uncovered blades look like they can produce a couple unwanted amputations.

Haveing two sets of high-speed blades spinning at your feet and knowing the fact that the person who made the bike has no engineering and assuming safety knowledge I think I might pass if given the opportunity, might.
