Tracy Foreman, 52, found Alexander Hockett, 34, trespassing inside their home in Castle Road, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England, attempting a robbery. Tracy quickly alerted her husband Fred Foreman, 55, of the burglar in their home so Fred gave chase as the robber, Alexander tried to make an escape reported by the The Metro.

The chase began from the couple's home in castle road towards The Corn Exchange Wetherspoons pub, 300 yards away, halfway towards the end of the chase Alexander stopped and told Fred that he was sleeping rough and then he ran again.

When Fred arrived at the pub he found Alexander trying to hide his face with a menu. Alexander complimented him on his running speed despite being of an age, Fred decided to buy him a pint, due to his rough back story, before contacting the police.

Alexander Hockett a known criminal has 128 previous convictions. After being arrested he was sent to trial, he was found guilty of his crime as well as 15 other burglaries between July and August 2013, he was sentenced to four years in jail.
