Kian-wee Show, 28, a Malaysian national on a work visa, was the enraged man who headed towards the sink to fill up a bucket full of boiling hot water, why? The day before Bin Wu, a Chinese national in New Zealand on a work visa, ate a piece of leftover hot dog from Show's girlfriend's plate according to stuff.co.nz. The incident occurred in the staff cafeteria of fruit and vegetable suppliers, Turners and Grower's packing house in Whakatu, New Zealand.

The CCTV footage reveals the incident in its entirety, except the eating of the hot dog incident. Show walks calmly towards the sink filling up a pail of boiling hot water, he then makes his way across the cafeteria towards Bin.

Bin Wu unknowing of what's about to happen dines with his friends, a big splash can be seen with rising steam after Show engulfs Wu in the boiling hot liquid. Wu can be seen immediately jumping up from his seat his face in severe pain. Show points at Wu and shouts some words at him concerning the previous day's events. Another man gets up out of his seat and grabs the empty bucket from show's hand and hits Show over the head with it. Wu walks away to seek first aid.

Kian-wee Show pleaded guilty to the incident which occurred in July 2015 and received five years and seven months in jail.
Bin Wu took two months off of work after the incident and had to stay in Hutt Valley Hospital for a week to get treatment for his burns.
