On 15th December, early Thursday morning, 25-year-old Tavares Jones, drove into Shake N Steak drive through located near U.S. 1 and State Road 312 in St. Augustine, Florida.
Tavares ordered a meal from the drive-through and picked it up he complained to the employee that his fries were cold. He demanded new fries from the employee and ketchup from the female worker.
Tavares threw fries in the worker's face, and got out the car and demanded a fight with the worker. Tavares pulled the open the sliding doors and punched the worker in the arm.
St. Johns County Sheriff's Office reported" of Tavares accounts of the incident, he claimed the worker was racially offensive towards him, stating, "because that (expletive) gave me some cold fries, and when I told her I wanted some more fries and ketchup, she called me a (n-word) and slammed the sliding door in my face. So I got out of my car, pulled the door open and threw that (expletive) she threw at me back at her."
The worker suffered bruising on her arm, but did not suffer any serious injuries.
Tavares Jones was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor battery, he was taken to the St. Johns County Jail and held on a $1,500 bond.
