Deceased Hollywood actor and comedian, Robin Williams, entire bicycle collection went on sale on the 21st-century collections auctioning website, Paddle8.
The Mrs. Doubtfire actor, who had passed away in 2014 had garnered a sizeable number of bicycles. his children have donated his collection of 87 bikes to the auctioning website. The bidding has already started and will end on the 27th October, some of the beloved actor's bicycles have already reached over $20,000.
The paddle8 website states, "Beloved actor and comedian Robin Williams was an ardent cyclist and fierce advocate for people with disabilities. This auction honors his passions. Bid on a selection of favorites from Williams's personal bicycle collection, donated by his children, in support of the Challenged Athletes Foundation and Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation."
The actor's daughter, Zelda Williams, speaks on her father's love of cycling, "Watching my dad get on a bike was like watching a penguin spread its wings and take flight. He'd take off at inhuman speed, a smile on his face, and never look back,".
All proceeds will support charities Williams donated to in his lifetime, the Challenged Athletes Foundation, which supports athletes with disabilities, and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury.
A message from the Williams family reads, "We hope these bikes will bring their new owners as much joy as riding them, and helping these causes, always brought [Robin],".
