The incident occurred at 8.50pm on Tuesday, 7th June at a restaurant located in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, reported by Brandon Police.

A 29-year-old Sioux Valley man and a 33-year-old woman were dining at the local restaurant with their ten-year-old daughter. They ordered drinks and had a meal which ran the bill up to $135, one which they decided not to pay.

The couple plotted with each other to leave the restaurant without paying for their meal so they ran out the building, one mistake, they didn't tell their daughter to run, who was left at the restaurant until the police arrived.

The police found the intoxicated couple a short distance away forms the restaurant and they were subsequently arrested for trying to flinch on the bill.

The couple were taken to Brandon Correctional Centre whilst the abandoned child was taken into the care of Child and Family Services.

The 29-year-old man and the 33-year-old women face charges of charges of Food by Fraud and will appear in Brandon Provincial Courthouse in July.
