"When you have to go, you have to go" is a saying that KPHO/KTVK reporter Jonathan Lowe lived by and eventually was stuck off by his TV station because of defecating outside of someone's home.
The incident occurred outside of a home in Goodyear, Arizona on Monday, May 16th. Jonathan Lowe was out on-duty on a field day to report a story. Residents of the area noticed Jonathan Lowe and the news team as they were there with their parked news truck for over 40minutes. Jonathan was suspected to have felt an urge to go to the bathroom as he was seen gathering newspapers from all over the road. After gathering enough 'material' he found a quite spot, leaned up against the wall, squatted and proceeded to do his business. All occurring as the resident of the property, which Jonathan Lowe leaned up against, looked on in horror.
Jonathan had finished his deed, cleaned himself up and walked back into his news van. In the meantime, the resident of the property still in awe of what had just happened decided to dial 911 to report the incident.
The police arrived and went to the news van to talk to Jonathan, he knew exactly what the police wanted to talk about as he reportedly told the police "I've been feeling very sick and I've been stuck in this van all day. So I went over to that person's yard and took care of business. Those people who called on me just wanted to start problems", detailed in the Goodyear Police Department report.
Jonathan Lowe was arrested for public defecation. Later that week on Thursday Director of the New's station had reported that Jonathan Lowe was no longer working for them, it is not stated if he resigned or was fired.
