Boy Who Donated Hair To Cancer, Diagnosed With Cancer

Vinny Desautels, for 2 years has been growing his hair to donate to cancer patients, has been diagnosed with cancer

Vinny Desautels, 7-years-old, from Roseville, California has been noted in the media before as the boy who grew his hair for two years to donate to children with cancer, in total donated 13 inches of hair to aid children suffering from cancer. In an ill twist of fate, he has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer himself.

The second grader came home complaining about a knee pain, he then had a shower when his parents Amanda and Jason Desautels, noticed a large lump on his hip bone. his parents took him tot the Emergency room, Jason had a large lump over his right eye, which his parents thought was due to allergies, which he had a separate doctors appointment for, his parents asked to check if both lumps were related.

The doctors through research determined that the lump over his eye was and aggressive  malignant mass, the doctors diagnosed Vinny with stage 4 cancer but have not yet determined the type of cancer Vinny has.

His grandparents have since started a GoFundMe to help his parents, Amanda, who is 6 months pregnant and Jason who is a combat veteran, pay for Vinny's medical bills. The GoFundMe is looking to raise $100K and is currently standing at $70k, $30k shy of its target.
