The school, SMK Pengkalan Chepa 2 secondary school, located in Kota Bharu, Malaysia is reported to have up to 1,044 pupils and 84 teachers. 100 of those children and teachers suffered from mass hysteria after a sighting of a 'black figure' in the hallways, explained by Free Malaysia Today.
A teacher working at the school claimed that she felt a heavy presence enter the room, another person in the room claimed that the presence tried to enter her body. After the children went home another teacher claimed to have seen flashes of a black like figure, reported by The BBC.
The school official claimed that the school is very old and alluded to the idea that the children may have awoken some 'Djinn' or spirits in the school.
The school closed its doors to pupils on Thursday after reports of the black figure. The school located in the highly religious state called in Islamic experts to carry out prayers and exorcisms on the school grounds.
The school reopened on Sunday and despite some pupils still in hysterics over the sighting and the feeling of the presence, the situation has calmed since the incident.
