Two men can be seen on CCTV footage covered in tin foil while attempting to rob a bank located in Praia Grande in southern Santa Catarina, Brazil.
Their bank raid began early Saturday morning at a branch of the Bank of Brazil, the bank robbers broke down a wall of the bank and managed to enter the building equipped with power tools, in an attempt to open the bank safe.
Tin foil isn't the usual bank robbers attire, the reasoning behind wearing the aluminum instead of an al-black attire is to avoid detection from heat sensors attached to the camera. The tin foil managed to work and they were protected from the heat sensor but the CCTV footage still recorded their crime. One of the security staff caught them on CCTV, crawling on the floor wearing their shiny metal outfits and alerted the police.
The men escaped before the police arrived, the police believe that there was a third man involved in the attempted robbery who warned of the robbers of the police's arrival.
Two out of the possible three men managed to escape but one alleged robber was arrested, he was caught in the bushes a while later when the police began searching through the surrounding area and local homes.
