Alleged Child Abuse Victim Found With Octopus Lodged In Throat

Two-year-old found with small octopus stuffed in his throat, suspected to be child abuse from mother's boyfriend

A 36-year-old man, Matthew Gallagher, from Wichita, Kansas, USA, has been arrested after being suspected of abusing his girlfriend's two-year-old when doctors found a small octopus in the child's throat and bruises on his face, reported by Kake News.

The incident occurred after the child's mother left her two-year-old son at home with Matthew Gallagher. When she returned from work she found her two-year-old son, laying on the floor, not breathing, in an unconscious state whilst her 36-year-old boyfriend was conducting CPR. The boy was rushed to the local hospital where doctors dislodged a small octopus out of the boy's throat. Medical professionals also noted that the boy had a number of bruises on his face.

Previous jail records of Matthew Gallagher reveal that he has been arrested for suspected child abuse before. He has again been arrested for allegedly abusing his girlfriend's child.

The two-year-old is alive but currently in critical condition.
